  From: "Susan" Sent: Saturday, March 03, 2001 11:42 AM Hi Ann, [snip] The bible entries I scanned are from a bible passed down to my husband (Lee Winder) whose grandfather was Jessie Clearance Winder (son of Charles Winder and Anna R. Thompson, grandson of Aaron Winder and Leah Yates). The scans are not that great because of the thickness of the bible, but you can zoom in to view them in a graphics program. I have been trying to sort out who is who - there are a lot of names for which I cannot make a connection. I am deducing that Anna Thompson's father was Thomas Thompson and her mother Margaret F. Thompson (Fife?) and that this was Anna's bible (hers is the first marriage entry. Let me know what you think! [snip] From: "Susan" Sent: Tuesday, March 06, 2001 12:49 PM Hello again, My mother-in law just told me that she compiled her Winder family tree with information from family bibles and her own knowledge of cousins. My brother-in -law has the bible with entries for William and Adah. I'm going to pester him to make me some copies! I picked up somewhere on the internet that William's father was Benjamin but haven't been able to find out more. Most all of these Winders stayed around Ohio, but I will ask my Mom-in-law about them when I see her for lunch tomorrow. She said Dorothy (dau. of Ralph) was the family historian at reunions a while back but doesn't think she is alive. The Winder farm is somewhere in Hanoverton where Clarence grew up with siblings.
