      Charles Winder Buried Here
Family graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Dayton cemetery for Charles Boorkees Winder, a former resident who for the past 30 years had resided in the Spokane area.
Born in Dayton, July 20, 1890, Mr. Winder died June 21, 1953, leaving these survivors: a brother, Frank Winder of Dayton, three sisters, Mrs. Alice Arnett, of Spokane, Mrs. Lulu (George W.) Wood of Bellflower, California, Mrs. Edna (J.W.) Stephens of Walla Walla, and several nieces and nephews.
    • (Research):Vorhees was a prominent name in the area, and Charles was probably named for them. All official documents, from court cases to tombstone, give his middle initial as V.
