- George S. Winder, a well known business man of this city, died early Friday morning, October 28, 1904, at St. Francis hospital in Pittsburg, where he had been ill for the past (illeg) years. A telegram reached the city this morning, and Funeral Director Mettenberger went to Pittsburg at 1:25 p.m., and will return to the city with his remains this evening, which will be taken to his late home, on Lincoln avenue. He was a former well known painter and paper hanger and a fine workman, but of late years has been running a second hand furniture store, and was engaged in that business, having charge of a store on South Fourth street at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife and four small children, who have the sympathy of friends in teir bereavement.
