First wife was Oney P. born ca. 1813 - died August 9 1840. She is buried in Lower Glade Cemetery. They had a son John born ca. 1834 in Ohio. William then married Elizabeth Gardner Melvin, first wife of joseph B. Melvin in 1841 in Madison County. Have lots of Gardner info, but would like to find out more about Oney P. ?? Winders. Children of William Winders and Elizabeth: Aner b. ca. 1845 m. to J. Bruce Young Jennetta Winders born 30 Oct. 1846 Zacheriah . Winders born ?? George Winders born 11 July 1853 William and Elizabeth moved to Washington County Iowa, where Elizabeth died on 15 Dec. 1859 (have obit from Madison Co. newspaper) and William died 10 Feb. 1863. They are buried in Lexington Cemetery Washington Co. Iowa. Anyone have any info that might help me find out who Williams parents were or Oney P???? Can't find them on the 1840 census.. Married ca. 1833 to Oney P. ??.. Oney died in 1840 and is buried in Lower Glade Cemetery in Madison County Ohio. William then remarried Elizabeth Gardner Melvin on 5 June 1841 in Madison County Ohio. William and Oney had a son John (listed on the 1870 Washington Co. Iowa Census) and after marriage of Wiliam and Elizabeth they had the following children: Aner E. born ca. 1845 married to J. Bruce Young Jennetta born 30 Oct 1846 married to Charles Schwartz Zacheriah T. Winders buried in Lexington Cemetery Washington Co. Iowa George W. Winders born 1853 and married to Ida May Anderson in 1882 in Beloit KS. Elizabeth Gardner Melvin Winders died in 1859 in Washington Co. Iowa and William died in 1863. Both buried in Lexington Cemetery in Washington County Iowa. At some point some of the children moved to Kansas. (Research):I am leaping to a big conclusion that William Winders and Tamsey Ann Winder were siblings, based on the fact that they both originated in MD, migrated to Madison Co, OH, and that one of William's sons ended up in Beloit, KS along with Tamsey
