      William Robert Winder married Dora Ellen Rice in Missouri. They came to California in 1912 by train. Dora had to get off the train in Chouteau, Oklahoma to give birth to their daughter, Esther Marie, born September 28, 1912. I believe Esther was their first child, not certain of this. They also had a son named Thomas and a daughter Evelyn. Evelyn is still living. Thomas and Esther are both deceased. Esther married William Robert Greene and they had two children. William Robert Greene, Jr. died a few days after birth. Their other son, James Alfred (my first husband)was born DEcember 6, 1934 in Monterey, California. James Alfred later legally changed his name to Kelly. Esther and William Robert Greene divorced sometime after his birth and she remarried several times. Her last husband was Herbert Lloyd Kelly and so James Alfred took his step-father's name as he had raised him. William Robert Winder passed away in September 1976 in Modesto, California. This is all I know right now. I don't have any early pictures from the Winder family. Thanks again for all your help. Charlotte
