The Charlie Winders pics I have are of a young child born after 1910. On the 1910 Marion Co. TN, Cyrus E. Winders is shown as being age 41 and born in Indian(a). His widowed mother, Elizabeth, is part of his household. His father was shown as born in Ohio and his mother as being born in NC as were her parents. I don't remember finding Cyrus on the 1900 or 1920 Marion Co. TN Census nor on the Jackson Co. AL Census either.
More than likely, Cyrus came to Marion Co. TN between 1900-1910. I didn't write down his occupation but I'll check it and let you know. Perhaps, Cyrus came down to work in the mines or the iron foundry. I assumed that Cyrus named his first child after his deceased father.
The connection I have with the family is through the Riddles of Franklin Co. TN. Norah E. Foshee Swafford, Cyrus's wife is the daughter of Callie Riddle Foshee. Callie Riddle was my Great Grandfather's sister. James Delmar Reynolds was my Great Grandmother's brother.
I have not been able to locate anything on the Winders family after 1910. My late father, who was born in 1920, knew them so I assume that they lived near enough to visit occasionally but I don't have a clue as to where they lived after 1920. People seemed to have lost touch with one another during the depression.
