I have looked at your website with interest, particularly as from time to time Winders have married Hathornthwaites (my own name is a variation of this, namely Haythornthwaite).
I see that you have the son of Elizabeth WINDER nee HATHORNTHWAITE [13028], namely John Hathornthwaite WINDER [13029], marrying Eleanor HATHORNTHWAITE [13030], "his first cousin", of unknown parentage.
Since [13029] is in my own data, I have been looking for this first cousin and have not found her. However, what I have found in FreeBMD is that a John H Hawthornthwaite WINDER married Elleonor HARRISON abt Mar 1842 Runcorn, Cheshire. I have as yet found no PR record of this marriage to cross check the civil registration data, but assuming it is correct, it appears to contradict your website.
There are, of course, possible explanations. Perhaps this was Eleanor's second marriage, and she was born Hathornthwaite.
I would be interested in your comments on this discrepancy. If this is not of interest to yourselves, perhaps you could kindly pass this email or refer me to someone to whom it might be.
