The information that I have about the Winder connections comes from a book that my grandmother, Edna Gertrude Ikenberry Winder[b.1900,KA-d.1993,CA.-m. 1916, KA to William Clarence McKinley Winder(b.1993,KA-d.1962,CA)] put together for her children and grandchildren. Gram used several sources -- Books such as The People Came -- Osborne County Kansas, Vol 1., information from family researchers, such as Carol Dixon(d/o one of my grandfather's sisters -- I can never remember which one-- Mabel, I think). I have all of the books she used and most of the other materials. She also had conversations with the members of my grandfather's family that were still living in the 80's. I plan to be in touch with Carol and with another family historian, Rufus Winder, as soon as time permits.
