Subject: [CIVIL-WAR] Bio. Information on John Cox Winder
Dear Civil War History Buffs,
Can anyone refer me to a source whereby I can locate biographical information on John Cox Winder, son of John Henry Winder? I am trying to locate information which sites the particulars as to his being part of an exchange of several Confederate Prisoners for several Union Prisoners - two of whom who had been held in Libby Prison and had been scheduled to be executed. However, an exchange of officers was arranged and John Cox Winder was part of the trade. John Cox Winder was in the 2nd Confederate Engineers, Company A.
Thank you for any help in this regard.
