I am seeking help looking for informtion of Winder Families in the Rotherham area.
I have an Edrick Ethelbert WINDER b Aug. 15 1863 (headstone Canada), or Aug. 1861 (birth records UK???)
He served in the the 9th Lancers prior to coming to Canada and was married April 1 1888 St. George & Hulme, Lancaster UK ( not sure where this is)
Any assistance would be appreciated

I have a picture of a house with a address of Alkborough , Scunthorpe. Lincs. The house is identified as that of an Uncle Len Winder, I believe brother of Edric Ethelbert Winder who came to Canada in the late 1800's The picture has a built in 1924 on the back and seems to give the house the name Ferne Dene.
Edric is my great grandfather and would like to find his parents. Edric was born Aug. 1863 in Rotherham Yorkshire UK.
If anyone can point me in a direction on my quest I would appreciate the help.
I am having no luck in Yorkshire and hope Lincoln shire may show some promise.

Well I am starting to put this together and this is what it looks like.
Edric' Dob is off by 2 years (should be 1861) I am writing for his Birth Record later today to confirm. I believe the difference is due to his Dob is unknown and 1863 is the date he was baptized.
The rest is based on a few facts and 1881 census.
Let me know if any of this looks familiar
