In the old scrap book kept by Mrs. Anna Hays there appears a picture taken from the rotogravure section of the Sunday edition of the Louisville Courier Journal, no date, bearing the following title, "Dr. W. D. Funkhouser, of the University of Kentucky, making the official announcement to newspaper representatives after Collins body was found Monday afternoon." The Collins referred to was Floyd Collins who was trapped and died in Sand Cave around 1925.
