  From: "Bob Winder" Sent: Monday, July 16, 2001 3:40 PM Just had a look at your Winder strays and can say that this one was one of my grandfathers brothers and born in England so won't tie into your north American lines. He left the UK at a date unknown and as far as I knew had three sons, one of whom is still alive. [snip] The birth and death dates you have are fine as is his mother's maiden name (Ashworth) - Alice Ashworth. His father was David Horatio Winder and both are buried in Bolton, Lancashire. Strange world ! Cheers, Bob Winder Norman Hulme Winder emigrated as a young man and as far as I know never returned to England. He had three brothers and a sister and one of the brothers eventually finished up in Australia.
