  Todd County Standard, 20 Dec 1928: WINDERS, J. S., who lived just north of Elkton, died on Friday morning at 6:30 o'clock after a lingering illness. Mr. Winders who was commonly known as "Shack" Winders, was a well known man of the county, where he had many friends. He was 65 years old and had been a resident of the county all of his life. He leaves surviving him besides his wife, four sons and one daughter. The sons are Connie, Christian County, Riley of Todd County, and Burney of Columbus, Ohio. His daughter, Mrs. Leslie Rogers, lives in Christian County. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. J. M. Gordon, pastor of the Christian Church in Elkton, were held at the grave in Glenwood Cemetery, where interment took place on Saturday, December 15th. [2]
