  	Miss Susan Winder Miss Susan Winder, an aged and highly esteemed resident of Blakes, died July 3, at the home of her neice, Mrs. B. F. Thompson, with whom she made her home. She had been a great sufferer for the past six months, but bore her suffering patiently until God called her home. She was 88 years old and greatly loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Mathews Baptist Church since early childhood. Funeral services were conducted at the Church by the pastor, Rev. Caldwell, and the remains laid to rest in the family cemetery near Cricket Hill. Miss Winder was the sister of the late E. B. Winder and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Sparrow, Gwynn, Va., and Mrs. Sarah Davis, Norfolk.
