  From: "Lorraine Wuth" Sent: Thursday, October 19, 2000 6:48 PM Dear All (and Hubert) Hubert has been enquiring about Madeline WEBSTER. Hubert, perhaps you can give us a bit more background on Madeline. I searched the GRO marriage index from 1890 through to 1902 without success. Given that Madeline was 11 at the time of the 1881 census, is there anything else that you can add that would make further searching reasonable? Was she married? Did she have children and, if so, when? Any hints could prove useful. For the record, Madeline was the daughter of William WEBSTER and Elizabeth WINDER. The family lived in and around Dorney, Bucks. William and Elizabeth had 9 daughters as far as I know. There could have been more. Daughters as known: 1. Elizabeth Crompton b. c1851 m. Maurice BAYLEY 2. Mary 3. Kate b. c1854 m. Arthur George BARNETT 1873 (he is one of mine) 4. Harriet b. 1857 m. Louis William Francis DEANE (also one of mine) 5. Rose 6. Alice Marion b. c1860 m. John BRADFORD (another one of mine) 7. Florence b. c1866 8. Elinor b. c1868 m. William Mills BAYLEY 9. Madeline b. c1870 I think I need to do some checking of the GRO birth index to get the actual year of birth of this group!
