  East Liverpool Review, Oct 16, 1950 Mrs. Myrtle V. Swearingen, widow of Charles H. Swearingen, died Saturday at 9:15 p.m. in Alliance at the home of her brother, George W. Winder. She was 78 and had been ill 10 days. Mr. Swearingen died Sept 2. A lifelong resident, she was born here June 16, 1872, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Winder. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Pleasant Valley Chapter 216, Order of Eastern Star. She served as organist for both organizations many years. There are no suvivors besides her brother. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the church by Rev. W.F. Grossman. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery. An Eastern Star service will be held at 8 tonight in the Maple Funeral Home, Kensington. The body will be moved to the church at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9.
