Born July 8, 1925, in Beaver Creek, he was the son of the late Hubert B. and Elsie M. Martz Winders. He was a 1943 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He was a farmer. He was of the Protestant faith. He is survived by his wife, Verda K. Pryor Winders, whom he married July 23, 1954; one daughter, Linda Wagner of Hagerstown; two sons, Mark A. Winders and Randy Mathew Winders, both of Hagerstown; one sister, Virginia Martin of Hagerstown; one brother, Norwood Winders of Hagerstown and seven grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. David Eberly will officiate. Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
