Son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Winders, Former Well Known Residents of Sycamore, Lost His Life In Accident At Minneapolis
Relatives and friends of the family in Sycamore were shocked this Tuesday morning to hear that Russell Winders, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Frank Winders, was killed in an automobile accident at Minneapolis on Monday.
He was born in Sycamore as was his mother who was a daughter of Peter Johnsen, who owned and conducted the Johnsen House. The father was employed here in the abstract office, later as claim agent for the Great Western Railroad and for several years las past as one of the heads of departments of the Twin City railways in St. Paul. He is the brother of Sam and Dan Winders of this city.
Russell Winders was 24 years of age and was a bright promising young man of whom many in Sycamore have pleasant recollections. Besides his parents, he leaves a surviving sister, Lois, age 18 years.
